Adrian Coysh specialises in the Recruitment of Contract Accountants in Auckland New Zealand
He has been successfully doing that for over ten years. A lot of Consultants mistakenly think that Contracting is all about matching skills, rather than finding the right personality fit. Quite often, Contractors are required in a time of crisis, and this is when it is especially important for a team to work closely together in harmony. Adrian prides himself in finding the right people at the right time for the right job.
The reason why Adrian has the ability to find the right person is his knowledge of how Business and the Accounting function actually works. For 15 years he worked in Banking and Finance (mostly at UDC Finance, a wholly owned subsidiary of ANZ Banking Group). During this time he worked alongside Business Owners; Shareholders; and their Accountants – assisting them in the future planning and development of their businesses by acquisition of plant and equipment, or by acquisition of their competitors.
His client base includes anything from small to medium sized privately owned businesses, through to Multi-Nationals. In particular, Adrian specialised in the Manufacturing Sector, which is typically a difficult area for Banks to fund, given the specialised nature of the security offered – that is, the plant and equipment. By analysing the performance of the entity, and future growth prospects, Adrian was able to arrange suitable funding for expansion. He carried his knowledge into his new Recruitment career – he went from leasing equipment to leasing people.
Further, he has previously owned his own business; United Campervans which owned 200 vehicles at the time of sale in 2001 and was managed by his wife and another business partner. Adrian currently owns a 15 acre Beef farm in South Auckland, which is a nice grounding change after a hectic week in the City.
“As a self employed Contractor you are going to have to align yourself with the right Consultant to be successful. Yes, it’s your business and you own it, but without the right business partner you are not going to get far. In the eight plus years that I have been working with Adrian he has proven himself to be at the top of his game, year in year out.
Specifically Adrian has proven himself over an extended period of time to have ethics and integrity not common in his chosen field. Adrian works extremely hard to get results and with Adrian, there are no bad surprises”.
Dennis Coldwell, Contractor
“I have worked for Hudson (ex Morgan & Banks) for several years now, and I have also been employed with many other employment agencies in NZ.
I have found Adrian Coysh to be my favourite consultant given his very personal and professional approach. I have never felt like “Just another CV” with him – he remembers your name and your credentials which is not very common in today’s competitive market!!!
I have been fortunate enough work offshore in the South of France and New Caledonia on some very exciting projects, instigated by Adrian. Kaikohe in Northland was even a great experience for me! I recall that I really did not want to go there after spending 6 months in the South of France – but Adrian convinced me to go for at least one month. I ended up staying for almost 2 years because I enjoyed it so much. He has always made himself available to discuss any issues you have within the workplace and endeavours to find the best solution for both candiate and employer
Keep up the good work Adrian!”
Tania Hawkins, Contractor
“Adrian is an excellent recruitment consultant who has always given me a good selection of finance candidates, often under demanding timeframes. Always a pleasure doing business with Adrian.”
Janine Mountford, Commercial Manager, AHI Roofing
I just wanted to say thank you for the regular updates and feedback in terms of what is happening in the contracting job market.
Quite often, with some other agencies, they are just keen to get you on their books and then you don’t hear from them despite repeated calls.
Thanks for all your support and assistance over the years.
Pranita Makan, Contractor
Adrian, I also want to thank you for your support over the past weeks in regards to recruiting for this role. I have been impressed with the calibre of people you put forward and even though they were not hired, I think they were very closely matched. This shows a very good insight on your part. I also appreciated your patience and professionalism in regards to the delays that we encountered while recruiting. You managed your candidates expectations really well. You also showed understanding when/if recruitment may have taken a back seat when we got too busy with other aspects of the business.
You were a pleasure to work with and I look forward to doing business with you in future.
